Pilotage is compulsory for all vessels of more than
500GRT.
Compulsory for berthing and unberthing. Compulsory for
dropping and raising anchor at Anchorages M1~M10.
Pilot boarding ground is located at Lat. 35° 24' 00"
N., Long. 129° 25' 00" E.
Pilot boarding ground for VLCCs (Lat. 35° 23' 00"
N., Long. 129° 26' 00" E).
For vessels at anchor, Pilot boards at their anchor position.
Pilot boat leaves station 45 - 15 minutes before boarding
time, according to ship's position. For vessels at anchor,
pilot boat asks their bearing and distance from Hwaamchu
Lighthouse (Lat. 35° 28.2' N., Long. 129° 24.6' E.).
